About Bill Burgess

Bill Burgess is a Partner with North Bridge Venture Partners. He has worked closely with emerging growth technology companies as an investor and adviser throughout his career. Bill has deep experience on boards of public and private corporations as well as not-for-profit organizations. He currently serves as a board member of Salsify, Foro Energy, and CubicPV among for-profit corporations. In addition, Bill is a Senior Advisor and founding Board Member of Issue One, a non-partisan organization dedicated to preserving our democracy. Bill also serves on the boards Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences (Chair Emeritus), and St. Mark’s School (Past Board Chair and Campaign Chair).

Bill chaired the board of The New England Aquarium for a decade through 2013 and served on the Board of Dartmouth College as Finance Chair and Vice Chair for eight years ending in 2019. Leadership duties have included Finance, Advancement, Capital Campaign, Executive Search, and Strategic Planning.

He holds a BA from Dartmouth and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Bill is an avid hiker, sailor, skier and fly-fisherman. He is married to Barbara Burgess and they have five children.
