About Elizabeth Bishop

Elizabeth Bishop serves as the CFO for the Boothbay Region and Central Lincoln County YMCAs. Prior to the Y, Elizabeth had retired from JPMorgan where she was a managing director in London, New York, and Chicago. There she held various risk management positions including overseeing the firm’s operational risk in Asia and Europe, payments risk, and credit risk portfolios of US and European financial institutions. Earlier positions include managing director with Bank of America and senior finance analyst with IBM.

Elizabeth has an MBA from Yale University, a BS-Mathematics from Davidson College, and a Certificate in “Cybersecurity: Managing risk in the Information Age” from Harvard University. Elizabeth serves as board treasurer of the Salt Bay Chamberfest in Damariscotta and is a high school mentor with the Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute.

In 2020, Elizabeth returned to Maine, where she grew up, with her husband Tom. In addition to their two adult daughters who are both working in Massachusetts and have strong connections to Maine, Tom and Elizabeth have a Bernese Mountain Dog and a cat.
