Research Interests

As an environmental chemist and an enthusiastic analytical chemist, my research interests all share a common focus: utilizing analytical techniques to understand the environment and answer questions that will contribute to preserving and improving our world.

My current role at Bigelow involves the investigation and development of an algae-based feed additive that is capable of reducing methane emissions from livestock. I employ several gas chromatography techniques to evaluate methane reduction and analyze feed and animal samples for bioactive compounds and residues. As a member of the air-sea interaction laboratory, I am interested in trace gas exchange between the ocean and atmosphere, and how these interactions influence atmospheric chemistry and the resulting climate effects.
